Ken Griffey Jr. was born in Donora, Pennsylvania, in 1969. He played Minor League Baseball, in 1987 and 1988. Beginning in 1989, he played Major League Baseball for 22 years. During his career, he played with the Seattle Mariners, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Chicago White Sox (briefly). He is one of only 29 players to have appeared in Major League games in 4 different calendar decades. His 630 homes runs make him one of the most prolific home run hitters in baseball history. He appeared in 13 All-Star games and, in 1997, won the American League MVP award. Griffey was inducted into the Mariner’s Hall of Fame and the Reds’ Hall of Fame. When he was also elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016, he received 99.32 % of the vote, which is a higher percentage than has been received by any other baseball player in history.

This card has not been graded, but it is in excellent condition. It is currently wrapped it in archival packaging. The coloring is good and there are no stains, marks, tears, or folds/bends. It is very hard to find this particular Griffey card, in this good condition.
