This is a Stone Mason Macomb Pottery Co 120 yr old quart fruit jar. A heavy stoneware fruit jar made at the Macomb Pottery Co in Macomb, IL in the 1890s or early 1900 era.... It is embossed PATENT APPLIED FOR (around the top of shoulder, but hard to read because of the brown glaze having filled in the letters and covered them)…. MACOMB POTTERY CO embossed on deep sunken bottom …..thick heavy stoneware.....white Bristol glaze....brown threaded collar and top of shoulder …..round...space little grooves around bottom rim . Good condition minor hairline cracks in the surface and some shallow chips on very bottom surface; no other damage.

Measures 9" high 7 1/4" wide 1/2" gal I believe.
