A Primitive Floor Standing Candle Drying Rack, in original red stain, early to mid 19th century. Turned column support the four extending arms with holes, for attaching candles and is attached to a base with X-shaped feet. Note that the column is mortised through the base and held in place by four small wedges ( 2 on each side of tenon ). There is an old iron strap to help secure the arms to the center post, and unsure if this is original to piece. Please see the photo where the arm is missing a sliver of wood into the center hub. Overall the piece is in very good condition. The piece is 32 1/2" high by 33" wide.
