To put a smile on your face, I offer this cute little duo. Though I am not sure who they are, I do know they are heavy, probably made of cast iron and remind me of Chip and Dale...of course they could also be Alvin and one of his buddies. They stand about 6 1/4" tall and are not painted in the traditional way. Instead, they are all one color (dark bronze with some even darker patina areas) and show a bit of orange rust in the creases. This rust remnants can be removed easily if a white vinegar rinse is applied. My research has not turned up any other chippies like this so I do not know if they were supposed to be a shelf sitter, doorstop or what, but they sure are cute! No makers marks found.
