Here is an old Nancy Ann Storybook doll that is marked on her back. She is about 5 1/2" tall and dressed in her original outfit of Little Red Riding Hood. She is made of painted bisque with finely done features and has nicely styled dark brown hair. She is wearing her taffeta red dress and a wool type cape with hood. The only flaws I see are a few tiny pin holes in the dress. Very nice and pretty girl...put a tiny basket in her hands and off to Grandma's house she goes! As was designed, these Nancy Ann Storybook dolls were made to bring to life nursery book characters. Probably from the 1930s era, almost 100 years ago!
