Here is a neat old braided mat that I found years ago at a Lancaster County Pa. Mennonite sale. The mat is about 14 1/2" x 9" and is made of whar appears to be thin silky strips...perhaps old hose or stockings from the early part of the 20th century? Mat is in good overall condition with a few loose stitches here and there...nothing major. Probably used in the past as a lamp mat on a table, it could be used in a large doll house as a rug! Nice clean condition.
