Here is a 17" x 10 1/4" Victorian Era Handmade Turkey Red Embroidered Baby Bib that has never been used. It is in pristine condition and was given as a gift for a baby with the initials of P C K. Knowing this came from a Kreider family background, I believe this to be made in the Pa. German region of Lancaster County in the late 1800s. The maker skillfully stitched a row of red threads of various lengths around the neck area, added the nicely done italicized initials within an eight sided oval below and added three images of flowers along the bottom. All are done on a linen towel background with a faint woven design. Nice addition to a collection of baby clothes or accessories.
