Here is a pair of leather baby boy boots from the late 1800s or early 1900s. They are about 5 1/2" from toe to heel and 5" high. Each toe area has a metal plate that looks like copper to me. This would have helped to keep the toes from scuffing through. These shoes are made of dark brownish black leather but one area is missing it's top layer thus looks lighter and rougher (see photo 3)...inner side of right shoe. Great to display with toddler boy outfit, farm decor or primitive displays!! Rugged yet adorable....I sure wish they could talk!!
