For the collector of little boys clothing from the early 1900s, I offer this wonderful WWI era toddler sailor suit. It is made of a light brown wool fabric or blend, has a small front chest pocket, an attached belt that buttons also, long sleeves and sailor collar. The collar and sleeves have yellow trims in a striped design. I find the over all design to be quite unique...it is one piece in front (about 19" long from top to bottom) but the back is separated at waist and closes with buttons. I suppose this was for easier diaper changing or potty training?? It is about 22" around the waist. Mostly all the button holes have been reinforced over the years with hand stitching. There is also some repair stitching at the front collar where it attaches to garment and a few places of reinforced stitching here and there. Can't you just picture a little one wearing this with his long socks and high top button shoes?! Just a wonderful little suit in an unusual color from years past...
