Victorian Era Jabot for Wear or Doll Dress Accessory - image 1 of 6

Here is a wonderful jabot which would have been worn at the neck and down the front beneath a blouse or jacket during the late 1800s or early 1900s. The color is a deep ruby red (leaning towards burgundy) which lies host to several rows of dainty lace. The piece is 20" long x 13 1/2" from one side of the slightly "V" shaped top to the other side. It is all hand stitched and is sturdy enough to wear if desired.
However, for those of you who love antique dolls, this would make a lovely addition to the front of a fashionable doll dress!!Due to its length, you could use on a larger doll or hem it for a smaller doll. Just a lovely piece!! I see 1 small sized hole in the bottom row of lace which is easily forgiven. Overall condition is very nice!
