Here is a stunning late 1800s, early 1900s lady's blouse or waist for the collector or re-enactor. This blouse is simply gorgeous! I will try to describe it but words can not do it justice. The underneath part is made of cotton and has hooks and eyes down the front, is about 14" across shoulder, is 19" long in front and 20" in back, and is tapered from bosom to the 24" waist. Attached to this foundation, is a silky fabric over-blouse...you will love the ruching, pleating and fancy work on the front cascading from the shoulders and on the large cuffs!! This work is all hand stitched as are some other parts of this blouse (there is some machine stitching also). Next, we have a lace trimmed jabot that fastens around the neck and hangs down the front which is also in the silky fabric. Lastly, it comes with a 2" to 2 1/2" wide silky belt to wear at the waist....this is also entirely hand made. This 3 piece blouse will be an asset to your collection!! Please note that there are several small age marks on the undergarment and a small one on the belt but overall condition is nice.
