Here are two vintage textiles...the first one is a kitchen towel shown folded in half, the other is a pillow case for a child's pillow. The 30" x 18" towel is brightly embroidered with 2 pups...one inside the window and the other one outside. Cute text also embroidered. Towel has a handmade lace edge and one end is scalloped. Very cute and in good condition but could use a gentle cleaning as the towel has yellowed a bit from age. The pillow cover has seen better days but I just had to rescue it as it was headed to the trash bin at a local auction! The design is by Vogart...with 2 pups standing amongst flowers along a brick wall. The case is about 18" x 14" and has snaps in back at one end to close. The pups and wall have painted parts and embroidered features. Pups are light in color but may have been gray and tan originally. The main problem with this pillow case is the worn areas on the upper 2 inches of the background fabric which has worn thin and also has some holes. Most of the problem areas are above the height of the pups ears. There is also an area on one bottom corner where the lace edging has come detached...easy fix. Perhaps someone could frame this pillow case for wall art instead of using it as a pillow top? Or use the good parts on a recreated pillow top??
