Here is a pair of vintage Oriental dolls, a boy and a girl who have bisque heads and composition bodies. They have open and close sleep eyes, painted facial features, painted shoes and both are marked on back of head with an Oriental symbol. Both have a working squeak box in belly area which emits sounds when pushed. At 6" tall, each is jointed at head, shoulders and hips and has costumes native to the Orient. I believe they are from Japan. Costumes are satiny in look and feel. Both have hair...the girl's hair is reddish and she has head ornaments too including some bead work. He has a hat with a long braid hanging below in back. Both have been tucked away for years and are in nice condition.
