For the serious collector of antique childrens clothing, I offer this wonderful late 1800s toddler's dress in Indigo calico fabric with tiny trailing vine and leaf pattern. The dress is in wonderful overall condition and is crisp and wearable. It is about 22" long and 9" shoulder to shoulder with 10" long sleeves. It has several unique features such as a ruffled detachable collar with a button in back to secure it, a 2" wide pleat down the entire front of dress, full puffy sleeves with cuff, a little pocket in front and a buttoned belt in back at waist. I show it with collar off in one photo...perhaps a little boy would have worn it without the collar and sister wore it with collar. This style was popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s and was expertly made. The color is a deep blue or Indigo with white vines and spattering of pale dots in leaf designs. The exact color is difficult to show in photos but is on the dark blue side...some photos appear lighter due to flash or lighting conditions. I found one very small hole in fabric once but upon trying to locate it again, I couldn't find it...that is how insignificant it is to the overall condition. Truly worthy of place in museum! Looks like it was never worn!!!
