Many years ago, a little child decided to make a cloth booklet in which to keep her favorite postcards. She carefully made the booklet using scraps of purple fabric left over from her mommy's sewing projects. Her older sister helped her to cut the cloth with scalloped type edges to keep it from fraying. Then, she picked out 20 of her favorite postcards and glued them to the cloth. There are postcards celebrating several holidays including Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving. When she was all done making the booklet, she treasured it for years then finally passed it down through the family. Perhaps this is how this little booklet originated, perhaps not...but no matter how or why it was made, I'm sure it was appreciated by many over the years. I know I have cherished it for many years because it reminds me of a time when handmade or homemade was really appreciated...and of course I enjoy old postcards with angelic children, holiday themes and furry and feathered creatures. Now is the time to find it a new home where it will be treasured. By now the cloth is fading in places and a bit frayed around the edges and some cards show wear, but overall, it is still a great piece of yesteryear for the postcard enthusiast. Overall size is 7" x 5". A unique addition to a scrapbook collection!
