For the Catholic who cherishes religious tokens from the 1800s, I offer this miniature keepsake. The center is printed cloth on which there is a religious message along with a picture of the Heart of Jesus symbol. Around the edge it says "Cease! The Heart of Jesus Is With Me Thy Kingdom Come". Above that, across the top is the following: "Behold the Heart that has Loved Men so Much" Across the bottom it reads: 100 Days Indulg; Granted by Pius IX, July 14, 1877 The keepsake is miniature and could have been carried with you wherever you went. It appears to be 2 pieces of cloth over a lightweight piece of cardboard which was sewn into place and then edged in a decorative crocheted fashion. A silk ribbon embellishes the top. It is only about 1 5/8" x 2 1/4" and in good overall condition with some slight fading to the center theme.
