In recent years past, this cape was used when I gave talks about antiques and collectibles. It actually is from the Victorian era and is great if you wish to use in Re-Enactments or put on display. It is lightweight and very lovely! It is about 25" long and 16" shoulder to shoulder. It has a stand up collar edged in black velvet and a delicate black lace ruffle down the front and a double ruffle round the bottom. The scrollwork design was originally entwined in a delicate black netting which has worn away in places but the remaining design is very pretty. It is hard to tell anything is missing. Though no longer perfect, it certainly can be used "as is" without anyone realizing the imperfections. So, so pretty! Please note...along the bottom in photos are some white areas...this is actualy background showing through the netting and not tears.
