For the collector, here is a lovely dress from the late 1800s or early 1900s. Perhaps used for a very special occasion such as a graduation or someone's wedding party, the dress is a dainty white lawn type fabric with many inset pieces of lace. The large overlay collar has 3 lace edged panels in front and 3 in the back. This collar buttons in back at one shoulder which can be seen in photos where I left several buttons undone. It has gathering front and back under the collar. It has a 27" lace waist band and covered buttons in the back. Length is about 34" and 13 3/4" across the shoulders. Across the front directly under the arms it is about 18" but with the gathering, could expand some. Overall condition is very nice with only a few small age marks here or there...I see no tears, holes etc. It could use a warm ironing...I have not laundered this dress but think it could be made white if laundered gently. Of course I will allow the buyer to determine if this needs to be done.
