This guy was made during the depression era when mom's or grandma's skills were put to good use to make their children happy. Couldn't afford a doll or fabric to make one?? No problem...just take an old sock from Pa's drawer and sew away!! That's how this guy got his start and he is still in good condition. He is about 14" tall and nicely dressed in a matching red flannel shirt and twill plaid pants. He has a pocket on the pants where you will find a little note for his favorite friend. And best of all, he has antique china buttons as eyes...and he is wide awake!! Great addition to an antique toy collection. The only flaw I see is a pea sized hole on the one sleeve...you may decide to stitch it or not!
