For your consideration, I am offering this unique and very wonderful child's book from the early 1900s. Not only is it great for the paper doll collector but also appeals to those who enjoy antique paper toys or children's books. The book has a hard cover about 16" x 10" with a colorful house pictured on it. It was published by The Saalfield Publishing Co and is copyright 1909. Mr. and Mrs. Cut Paper had recently inherited lots of money and were looking for a larger home for their family and friends to visit. They found this one and so they needed to decorate all the rooms. Some of the pages must have had pieces to cut out and put on the "room" pages...this has been done and thus there are some pages that were torn out (probably thrown away when all the pieces were put elsewhere in the book.) The reader (child) of this book was asked to help find, cut and paste items found in other publications of that time such as the Catalog, Magazine, Newspaper & Company. Very interesting book!! The inner pages have come loose from the cover but are still bound all together. Pages are not torn though a few may have some marks from little hands or small remnants of extra glue. Cover is nice but has a few bumps to corners. Remember, this was meant for a child's hands so some wear can be expected. I also found some figures inside laying loose that still need to be glued into place...I will allow the new owner to do this if so desired...that was a pleasant surprise!! I have searched and searched and have not found another book like this on the internet so be assured it is a rare one. You will not be disappointed.
