Madame Alexander Dolls, An American Legend Book, A Robert Campbell Rowe Book/Portfolio Press, 1999. The hard cover book with dust jacket measures 9 inches wide by 12 1/4 inches long and has 240 pages of pictures and information. The photography in the book was by Walter Pfeiffer, the text by Stephanie Finnegan, and the contributing expert on historical dolls was Lia Sargent. Pat Burns, A. Glenn Manderville and Benita Schwartz also contributed to the information in the book. The first 65 pages of the book give the history of The Madame: Her Life and Her Company with pictures from the time frame of the story. The book is full of 758 beautiful colored pictures of Madame's dolls from 1930 to 1998 along with their identification. The last part of the book details how the dolls are made with pictures from the factory. The book that I am listing for sale is still factory sealed in the original plastic and has never been opened. The pictures that I have taken are from my personal copy of the book. The book comes from a non-smoking home.
