For the Industrial and Steam enthusiast, we have a great machine part of a steam engine, NO boiler.
According to the Schiffmann Catalogue of 2004 page 149 for German Steam engines it seems to be a Fleischmann engine of ca. 1954
It is in a beautiful condition, with original pin striping. Like the big brother in the factories, this model was scaled down with all the functions of the real one. Has a two ball governor which is driven from the flywheel. The piston in the horizontal cylinder moves nice and easy. The driven flywheel is 4.75" diameter and the smaller drive flywheels for attachments are 1.5" and 0.5".
To protect, the engine part has a railing by the moving part with three post, nicely contoured.
A marvel of engineering, made as a toy for children in those days! Today it is a great collector piece for big boys.
Size of the walnut base is 10.75" x 5.5".
