Antique Pale Pink Edwardian Night Shirt. I just love Antique lingerie. That said, I only like to buy wearable pieces. I recently pulled this piece out of storage and gave her a good soaking and hung her outside to Dry. I am always Amazed when I take a Hard look and realize how beautifully made. This piece is Exceptional! Machine and Mostly Hand Stitched. French seams all finished by Hand throughout. Hand crochet lace around the Sleeve and Neck opening. Hand Embroidery around the Yoke, front Placket and Sleeves. Mother of Pearl Buttons. Fabric is a Pale Pink; Feels like a rayon? Notice in my pictures that this piece is Crinkled. She dried out that way and I decided to leave it. If ironed the fabric will smooth out like silk. Condition: There is an old age related spot (light brown) on the top Right shoulder that did not come out. Not bad though. There is a vintage mend in the lower right side seam. Very hard to detect. Lovely piece!
