Substantial, quite scarce and well designed, Sterling and Mother of Pearl, Nettie Rosenstein Necklace.
Nettie Rosenstein (1890 – March 13, 1980) was an American fashion designer, based in New York between c.1913 and 1975. She was particularly renowned for her little black dresses and costume jewelry. Her sterling pieces are the most thought after.
Heavy sterling chain has a circular pendant (not removable). The sterling pendent frame holds a mother of pearl disk, with a nicely rendered profile of a lady, in sterling, mounted on top. The frame is surrounded by sparkling rhinestones. Simple hook clasp.
Dates to the 1960’s -70’s. In excellent all original condition.
