Iridescent deep orange glass, with hints of other colors depending on the light, with a beautiful La Pierre Sterling Art Nouveau overlay. Glass is most likely of European origin and turn of the century.
Vase stands only 2 1/2” tall but packs a great deal of style, with floral and scrolls design covering most of the glass surface. Silver overlay is thick and detailed with no visible missing pieces, lifting or separating. Front of the vase is monogrammed (see first photo).
La Pierre was established by Frank H. La Pierre in 1885, and headquartered at 18 East 14th Street, NY. It relocated its offices to Newark, NJ before its incorporation in 1895. Their special marks appear on their silver overlay items.
Size: 2 1/2” tall, base is 1 1/2”, top is 1 2/8”.
Condition: no missing overlay, fine scratches mostly seen through magnifying. No nicks or cracks to glass. Inside is dirty and does need a good cleaning,
