This is a primitive American grain or feed scoop. It has tapered sides which allow it to be scooped and filled in a bin. When tilted to the front it empties its contents broadly onto a large container. When tilted to the rear, it empties efficiently through a carved funnel or notch into a smaller container. The sides are made of pine while the base and handle are oak. It is well crafted to stand up to heavy use with nail and peg construction. Great patina and very good condition. 27"L x 16"W x 7"H
