This wonderful figure is in exceptional condition and painted surface. Dating from the early part of the 20th century, these figures were used in various hotels, restaurants and other establishments to hold greeting cards or as trade stimulators for other items. Highly collectible, some of these figures were created in the image of political characters, ethnic individuals, waitresses and in this case an Indian domestic servant, which I have not seen before. It is all original and two of the photos show the underside of the tray and the base which it stands on. It also has brass tacks down the front of the long coat simulating buttons which is a nice touch.
It measures 36" tall x 14" wide and has no restorations.
