This wonderful chestnut and poplar sewing box dating from the mid 19th century, was found in Pennsylvania and has many pleasing features including red decorations of hearts, stars and diamonds, a double deck revolving spool turret, two acorn spool holders, two strawberry form emery's and square nail construction throughout including the drawer. The fabric pieces are original and in "as found" condition with one spool wire on the lower turret being long gone. Most likely made as a token of affection, this sewing box remains in beautiful condition. It measures 10" tall and 7" by 7" square.
