This unique sterling silver bracelet was handmade by Navajo artist Aaron Toadlena. Aaron Toadlena was born in 1958 In Fort Defiance, Arizona. Aaron began silversmithing at the age of twelve and was taught by his brother Gordon. His favorite pieces of jewelry to create are old style bracelets and squash blossoms. Aaron is an award winning silversmith and has entered pieces in the Gallup Ceremonial. He has received a number of first and second place ribbons for his beautiful pieces of jewelry. The bracelet has a beautiful combination of stones in different colors, including Spiney Oyster shell, Mediterranean coral, turquoise matrix, and sugalite. The color combination works wonderfully and makes this a most unique piece. This bracelet is most likely from the 1980's and appears to have barely been worn. It is in excellent, like new condition with some beautiful oxidation to give the piece depth of color. The silver work is extraordinary. At the top it is approximately 3/4" wide and tapers slightly to the opening. The bracelet has a center opening of approximately 2 3/8" and the opening to put it on the wrist is over 1". There is a little flexibility to the silver. This piece is solid silver and weighty.
