This is a handmade vintage brooch of a jeweled man in a turban playing what appears to be a mandolin. His body is a cabochon emerald and his face a cabochon sapphire. His pants are slightly baroque cultured pearls and his turban is set with 2 sapphires and a ruby. He wears additional rubies and sapphires. This piece is fashioned after similar brooches by Van Cleef & Arpels from the 1940's.
It is marked 18k and is signed with a logo that we cannot identify. We believe it was made in the 1950's and is in excellent condition. It has some scratches but nothing that mars from its' beauty. A wonderful conversation piece that will look good on anything, even a mask.
