Beautifully composed Dance at the altar of flame. Felix Benneteau -Desgroise "Dance of Fire" with Anna Pavlova and Mikhail Mordkin, circa 1920, signed Le Blanc Barbedienne lost wax foundry The draped female figure is balanced by a muscular male nude the pair reflect each other across the flame holding center point in this composition. The archaic image of the serpent is seen across the base. The bronze has gestural architectural decor across the thin bronze plinth. The bronze is a splendid example of the 1920's gestural realism. The whole attached to a marble plinth of Giallo Antico. The size is 26.5" long by 6.4"wide and 3" thick. The total is 17" tall.
The condition is in very fine condition. The weight is 72 lbs.
