Grand Tour Hydra from Naples. A beautifully detailed vessel in the manner of those found in Pompeii. Great quality and attention to details of the original work. The handles are formed by two nude male forms head to head. The pouring handle rises from a gorgon face to end in an open-mouthed lion head. All edges and borders are finished in classical band designs. Size is 21" tall and 17" at handles diameter.
Condition is good no dents to the body, the rim is a little out of shape, (as shown in photos). All the parts are tight and firmly secured to the vessel
