Grand Tour bronze Situla( Pail) as found in Pompeii in Argenta. Very finely cast bronze. Thick walls and has a very substantial weight. (32.5 Pounds) The double handles move on posts to a vertical position or drop to form a rim around the vessel. Size is 14.75" and 12.5" diameter. Very good condition. Dark olive bronze patina.
