Group of 5 Meerschaum Turkish pipes in various sizes made between approximately 1930s and 1970s. No exact dates available. These were in my recently deceased, 91 year old husband's private collection.
2 pipes are Royal Meerschaums handcrafted blocks. Artist unknown. Both in their own vintage black stretched fabric molded cases (one case the fabric is a little loose on the edge). One has a Picasso influenced Art Deco abstract face with one eye. It is 6 3/4" long and has a broken bit and broken lip. The other is a intricately carved rooster and is 6 1/4" long.
One is a mini ECHT Meerschaum Bernstein pipe with a Stag near a tree. 3 1/4 inches long with its own reddish leather case.
One is a dragon talon holding an engraved patterned egg. It has a size adjustable stem with various 1 inch decorative male and female extenders. Possible restoration on the shank around the mortise. Tenon doesn't fit tightly in mortise possibly due to restoration. Artist unknown. No case. 9" long but can be shortened if take extenders out.
One is a plain Meerschaum pipe with 1 inch decorative male and female extenders. One extender seems to be restored. 14 1/2" long with all extensions, 7 1/2" long without extensions. No case.
All pipes are used vintage items. Wear is consistent with age.
