24" Walkure Bisque Head Girl Doll Original Body
Head circumference 12 1/2"
If only this pretty doll could talk. . .I would love to hear her story. She was made in Germany in the early 20th century. She has blue sleeping eyes, an open mouth and two inset teeth. Her complexion is creamy with blushed cheeks and pale lipstick. She wears her original blonde human hair wig and is on her fully articulated body in it's original finish. I do not see any places where she has been repainted. She is incised 4 Walkure Germany on the back of her head. Her head is free from any chips, cracks, repairs, or hairlines. She does have pierced ears. She is on her original wonderful ball jointed composition body, is nicely strung and holds a pose very well. She wears a cotton batiste one piece undergarment trimmed with scalloped edges, white Durand cotton socks and white shoes (Mrs. Day's Baby Ideal Shoe).
Imperfections which add to her character are as follows: Her original finish is coming off in many places and there are hairline cracks around her feet. She is missing her left big toe and left middle finger. On her right hand, she is missing her fourth and fifth finger. There is tape on her lower left arm covering a crack that runs from her elbow to wrist. Her face is smooth with beautiful coloring and complexion. She has some small scuff marks on her chin and above her right eye. The bisque has rubbed off in places on her forehead but these are mostly covered by her wig. Her eyes still sleep well but there are clumps in her eyelashes. I have tried to show all of these details in the pictures.
*My desire is to present each of my dolls with accuracy so that there are no surprises. I encourage you to request additional photos and to ask questions about things that are important to you before purchasing - I will happily oblige. Thank you for your interest!
