This beautiful vintage party dress is from the 1960s. It is created in a single layer of deep hunter green poly chiffon over a rust toned acetate lining in the bodice. The skirt is a layer of chiffon with a layer of tulle over a rust toned acetate lining. The dress is sleeveless and the bodice features two attached wide silk ribbons over a ruched poly chiffon. The bodice is boned, giving it a nice shape and structure. The bold silk ribbons begin at the waistline and work their way over the bust and then over the shoulder and around the back, giving it a shoulder strapped affect. There is a large silk ribbon bow at the waistline of the dress. It runs down to either side and around the back of the peplum style skirt. The balloon style skirt is gathered and falls from underneath the peplum skirt. It finishes with a bubble hemline adding a fullness to the skirt. There is a concealed metal zipper up the back of the dress. At the top of the zipper, there is a hook n'eye that needs some stitches for reinforcement. The lining is slightly discolored. The ribbon also shows some patina or discoloration due to age. The measurements are as follows: Bust: 32 inches, Waist: 26 inches, Hips: 44 inches, Length: 43 inches.
