This Lora Lenox 1940s novelty printed day dress is in wonderful condition. It is made of orangey red rayon crêpe with a black and green print perfect for a musician. The background is musical notes and treble clefs and the large screen print is of dancing couples of musicians and instruments. The closures or two metal zippers, one on the back neck and another at the sideseam. Although there is a belt loop, sadly the original belt is missing. The bow at the waist needs some hand stitching to maintain its shape and the darting around it. The top tier swings up in this area like a cheeky slit. The only "major" damage is a half inch hole at the back approximately 2.5 inches up from the hem. It could be patched or you could him the skirt up. This dress has been cleaned and is in great condition especially for the age. From the side seam of the waste the top tier is 18 inches long and the total length of the dress is 48 inches long.
