This women's gold wedding band is marked on the inside "Brides Choice" with a five pointed star, which is the trademark for Alfred Humbert & Sons wedding rings. This trademark was established in 1923 and is no longer in use. Alfred Humbert & Sons was a jewelry designer from Philadelphia, PA (local)! It is also marked on the inside for gold content, 18k. The original owner engraved the ring on the inside with two sets of initials (presumably the bride and groom) and the date of their marriage, September 1, 1934. The outside of the band is not smooth. It is instead decorated with what looks like "X" engraved designs. The ring weighs 30.9 grams, and is 3 mm thick. It is a size 7, but could probably be sized by a good jeweler. It is in great vintage condition, and would make a beautiful wedding band to accompany an antique or vintage engagement ring.
