This is a superb vintage estate ring, crafted beautifully in sterling silver. A luminous navy blue focal point draws your eye into this elegant modern older Arts & Crafts style ring. Perfectly domed fine quality rounded glass, the setting is a double raised and cradled in a claw mount crafted in beautifully hand-crafted sterling silver. The setting looks very Art Deco, with two double prongs and two single prongs holding the pool of light into place. As is tradition, the Pool of Light has not been drilled for the setting. Like a miniature work of fine art, this piece is very finely crafted. This mesmerizing ring is really one of the rarest 'Pools of Light" designs. While true clear Pools of Light are made of rock crystal, ours is colored and therefore most likely made of glass. The glass does not have any scratches chips or cracks. Nearly pristine for its age, the band is adjustable, and it is warped. This could be fixed easily by a jeweler. The ring looks to have originally been a gold tone, and the gold has rubbed off to be mostly a silver tone. The ring is a size 9.
Pools of Light spheres have been said to have mystic properties for the wearer bringing happiness, good health, and much prosperity. We are endlessly memorized by the mystic qualities of these lovely luminous balls of light. Having a wonderful double light refraction, where objects viewed passing through the orb appear upside down and backward. Light makes the orb glow beautifully and with much intensity. Light shining through forms a Pool Of Light on the other side.
