This gorgeous gold filled engraved bangle bracelet dates to the Victorian Era. It is marked on the inside "Rex MFG.CO" which stands for the Rex Manufacturing Co. of Providence Rhode Island. It is also marked for metal content "1/20 10K Gold Filled". The decoration on the front of the bangle is a geometric pattern with lighter flowery details between. In the middle is a raised diamond, and emanating outward is a pattern reminiscent of a Greek meander pattern. The back of the bracelet is unadorned. There is a small gold button next to the left hinge that when pressed, extends the bangle for an easier time putting the bracelet on and taking it off. This mechanism works very well. The bangle weighs 28.9 grams and measures 7 inches in circumference (average wrist size). The interior width is 2.5 inches. The entire piece is in excellent vintage condition with hardly any wear or scratches. It still has the wonderful vintage golden glow. I have also seen this described as a "brides bracelet."
