Crafted in the 1950s, this dress is absolutely gorgeous. It is constructed in a beautiful delicate black lace over a black taffeta. The top of neckline of the bodice is adorned in jet black sequins. It features black lace over an ecru poly lining, giving it a sheer look. The neckline is cut straight across with a scalloped edge detail. The halter straps are also cut with the same scalloped edge. The bodice, beneath the neckline, is constructed of a tailored black lace over black taffeta. Beneath the sequined neckline, there is a sweetheart cut at the bust of the dress. The full skirt falls from the natural waist and finishes at tea length. We have shown the dress with a petticoat (not included) to enhance the fullness of the skirt. The dress has a concealed metal zipper on the side of the dress and the halter has a hook and eye at the back of the neck. Some of the sequins may be loose but can be secured if needed. There are some very small pinholes in the lave in the back of the bodice but they are not visible when worn. The measurements are as follows: Bust: 36 inches, Waist: 28 inches, Hips: Full, Length: 51 inches. Please take a moment to review the photos and check out the rest of my shop.
