This Billy Plug tobacco cutter made by Griswold has a patent date of October 16 1883 on the handle. This Antique general store tobacco cutter is marked 'Griswold Mfg. Co. Erie PA.' On one side and 'The W. & D. Tob. Co., Billy Plug, fine as silk' on the other side. There is one small chip on the bottom of the blade. Also the blade closes at a slight angle leaving about a quarter inch gap on one side. There is no other damage on this cutter. This is a neat piece for someone interested in griswold, general store, or tobaccania.
