This Vintage bowl is made of celeste blue stretch glass. It measures almost 10 inches in diameter across the top and approximately 2 1/2 inches tall. The bowl has nice iridescence and the onion skin appearance distinctive to stretch glass. Stretch glass is an iridized glass that was popular in the 1910's and 1920's. The glass in this bowl is a pretty medium blue shade known as celeste blue. This color is most often associated with Fenton however it was also made by a hand full of other companies. These include Central, Diamond, Lancaster, United States Glass, Vineland Flint, and Northwood. I believe this bowl was likely made by Fenton but it may have been one of these other glass houses. The bowl is in good used condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. However there are some of the manufacturing imperfections often found in glass from this era. These include strawmarks in the bottom of the bowl and bubbles in the glass. They can be seen in the pictures so please review them closely. Overall this is a beautiful bowl to use and/or display.
