This antique cruet is made of custard glass and has gold embellishment. It was made by Northwood in their Louis XV pattern. This pattern was first made in 1898 and was produced into the early 20th century. It has a small pontil mark on the bottom where the connecting rod was attached during production. The stopper has been lost over the years and the lip inside feels a little rough. I am not certain but this maybe the way it was made. Much of the gold highlighting is intact though it does have some wear. Overall this piece is in good condition. It is a pretty antique cruet that would be cute as a little bud vase or could be used as a reed diffuser for potpourri sticks.
