Antique Italian Micromosaic brooch finely crafted in high carat gold. Exceptionally detailed Micromosaic features a dome centering a multicolored tesserae image of two white love doves with green laurel leaves amidst a cobalt blue background, outlined in teal, red and white triangular tile, gold bead frame and fine rope-twist border, further framed by tile pattern quartered by gold beads with outer rings. This truly artistic piece is in excellent condition , despite a few tesserae tiles missing. The pin was added at a later date, pendant-loop missing. Stamped with Papal maker's mark ( Crossed keys of St Peter with Papal Tiara)
