This piece I made from that which I find appealing and I created my "Bird" choker with them in mind.
The neck wire is 15.925" with a 'ball' hook closure which when left open holds it own in shape and strength, making it a little bigger on the neck at 17"
Bird's bill and body are 2 different cloisonne pieces of Gold Plated wire and Stainless Steel wire with Lucite Plastic. They are set on an Annealed Steel armature with sculpted black Apoxy Clay. The legs are sculpted Annealed Steel, wire wrapped with Annealed Steel and Brass wires to support the Cultured Freshwater Pearls in gray, cream and blush and Swarovski Crystals in aqua marine, yellow, dark blue Swarovski Crystal Pearls in 3mm cream. His tail is leaves of gold and turquoise speckled black Acrylic and wire wrapped with Brass wire and Cultured Freshwater Pearls. I added a touch more with a Paua Shell bead and a few more Swarovski Crystal Pearls on it's chest.
The size of the "Bird" is 5" tall by 4.25" at it's widest.
It hangs from a Gold Plated Brass neck wire with ball closure.
My maker's mark is on the back of the "Bird".
