Lauren Sansaricq (b. 1990) grew up in Columbia County, New York, where from an early age she was exposed to both the beauties of the Hudson Valley and, under the teaching of Thomas Locker, to the traditional painting techniques of the Hudson River School. Lauren received academic training in drawing and painting at the Grand Central Academy of Art in Manhattan. Her work has been exhibited both in at the Salmagundi Club and National Arts Club of Manhattan. She has three times been awarded the Hudson River Fellowship. Her other honors include the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Award, given at a yearly juried exhibition for professional woman artists. One of Lauren’s paintings was featured in the New York Times feature “The Great Hudson River Exhibition” which took place at the Scenic Hudson River Center in Beacon, NY during the summer of 2011.

In November of 2011, Hawthorne Fine Art debuted Nature's Poetry: The Landscape Paintings of Lauren Sansaricq. A reviewer from the Art Times Journal who had seen the show commented: “This is beautiful work and Sansaricq an exceptional artist with surely a long and successful career ahead of her.” The exhibition unveiled works the artist executed both en plein air as well as larger studio compositions depicting landscape subjects in the Catskill, Adirondack and White Mountain regions as well as works painted during the artist's exploits in the Loire Valley of France. This exhibition was followed by a solo show at the St. Anselm's College Alva de Mars Megan Chapel Art Center titled, A Glimmer of Light: The Landscape Paintings of Lauren Sansaricq which ran September 28—December 6, 2012. In the catalogue for the exhibition, the museum’s director, Fr. Iain MacLellan, O.S.B., wrote, As a particularly ambitious young painter working in the Hudson River School tradition, Lauren's paintings reveal both the subtle intimacies of observing nature, as well as the bold grandeur of the expansive view. These works represent a youthful call to refreshment and beauty. They speak silently of the resounding messages of nature. They contain a uniquely charming confluence of her personal lessons from masters in the past, reverently executed in the present, with an enduring look for the future. In conjunction with the St. Anselm's exhibition, a lecture was held on November 8, 2012 by David Dearinger, Ph.D., Susan Morse Hilles Curator of Paintings and Sculpture at The Boston Athenaeum, “The Hudson River School: An Introduction.” This lecture provided a scholar's insight into the significance of America's first indigenous art movement, offering an important supplement to Ms. Sansaricq's meditative and technically rigorous paintings. In addition, a painting demonstration was given by Lauren Sansaricq, on October 25, 2012. This event featured one of Lauren's hauntingly beautiful nocturnal scenes illuminated by a pulsing full moon, and demonstrated the process of drawing, underpainting, and the final glazing. At the conclusion of the exhibition, Ms. Sansaricq's View from Boscobel, 2011 was purchased for the permanent collection of the museum.

Lauren Sansaricq's landscapes of the White Mountains were featured jointly with those of Erik Koeppel at the Bethel County Historical Society's Mason House in Pictures Serene and Sublime: Traditional White Mountain Art Recaptured which ran from July 6—August 31, 2013. Their works were shown alongside historic Hudson River School paintings from the collection of the Jackson Historical Society bridging a dialogue with the great artists of the past and speaking to their mutual devotion to the perfect beauty to be uncovered in nature.
