Fine halo ring set with a 13.89ct unheated deep blue sapphire and diamonds weighing 2.06ctw in 18k.
The Ceylon blue hues of the sapphire display uniquely from angle to angle in this ring.
We photographed this ring endlessly, as there are various angles of looking at the sapphire's color, since the stone is not a uniform blue.
There is silk, but it forms part of the sapphire's beauty (and does not interfere with lustre) and ID.
Its color zoning is organic, not extraneous, hence not a bad thing at all. At certain angles, its intense color saturation completely eclipses the zoning, making the blue appear uniform.
As you move the ring, the blue fires differently, alive and mysterious. This is the allure of the stone, and the ring's splendour.
The closest way to describe its color would be a shade of blue between indigo blue and cornflower blue.
This ring will work for someone wanting a deeper blue sapphire that is not dark but fiery indigo, with a depth that you can actually see through its saturation.
The big sapphire is raised tall in the luxuriant fashion of such genre rings, but it is poised to wear very comfortably (photos of back on request).
The ring's face measures 20mm by 23mm.
