Retro thick gold band ring set with 1.7ctw diamonds in 20k gold.
This was handmade during the Retro Art Deco period, in the three decades after the second war.
This ring is curated here from our love for kitsch, culture, and class. The three are inseparable, that’s why one either understands rings like this or not.
These ‘honeycomb’ studded rings were worn by the gangsters, gamblers and the ‘good guys’, in a time before social media, when nothing was funny.
Today we revere them for knowing HOW TO wear them, in effect, with a Rolex.
The ring is designed to be worn on the same hand as a ‘classy’ watch, with its shoulders crafted like a miniature watch strap.
There is more.
The diamonds are very white and clean, the centrepiece is not coincidentally laid out like a chocolate wafer. The wearer will run his fingers through this surface for some diamond luck, also because the diamond ‘wafer’ is actually tactilely formed. Truly.
The ring is actually very stylish, lore and lure aside, built like a Brutalist dream betrayed.
Wear with confidence and ravishing, for there was really a better time.
The ring’s square face measures 15mm all around.
This ring is marked "850" on the underside of the band.
We will size this ring accordingly after your purchase.
