18k white gold jade ring set with a round jade cabochon and accented with diamonds.
The jade is Type A natural jadeite jade, the ’round’ cabochon actually measures 10mm by 10.6mm, translucent and uniform in its hue.
This type of jade color is an apple green that is sometimes darker, when there is lesser light, resembling imperial green jade. In many angles the jade displays like ‘feicui’, a term the older generation is used to calling this jade.
The well domed cabochon is one reason why the apple green jade hue appears imperial green.
The ring’s face measures 15mm by 14.7mm.
The ’round’ cabochon caught in its ‘cushion’ border of diamonds makes the jade the centrepiece, a subtle ring not overly decorated with diamonds.
The jade’s hue in its shape is most noticeable and this is what makes this modern ring effortlessly chic. That and the fact a beautiful round jade ring is hard to come by!
This ring is unmarked, but acid tests as 18k gold.
